Dear Candidates:

The Student Association is the representative body for all students at GW. We partner with your Student Bar Association to ensure that your voice is heard by University administrators. One recent example is my participation in the search for a new University Provost as well as reports to the Board of Trustees.

We provide resources for students, work towards improving campus life, and allocate over half a million dollars to student organizations yearly. As a result, this year we have been able to secure later study space in the Marvin Center, provide grants for student service projects, and initiate the Michelle Obama Service Challenge. We also allocated $64,050 to your Student Bar Association. These funds are used to support the over 40 student organizations within the law school and special events like the Law Revue show and Barristers Ball.

In addition to the SBA elections, next week are the elections for Student Association officers. Be sure to vote on February 23rd and 24th for Law School senators, Executive Vice President, and President. For more information check out www.gwstudentassociation.com.
