Executive Vice President - Candidate Platforms

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Meet your candidates for Executive Vice President:

Dan Janow
Dan Janow

I have a wealth of experience that makes me uniquely qualified for SBA Executive Vice President.

The EVP primarily oversees the Senate, where I have served for the last two years.  As a 1L Senator I organized social events, highlighted by our "Section Slam" mixer.  I stood up for constituents both in representing their opinions about LRW grading and addressing group concerns to professors.

This year I was re-elected to the Senate and was Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.  Despite the presence of new clubs, budget requests which greatly exceeded available funds and a difficult financial climate I was able to guide the committee to propose a budget that balanced the needs of groups against limited available funds.

These experiences have made me the best choice for EVP.  I ask that you vote for me to allow me to continue to improve the SBA in representing the student body.

Deep Singh

Experienced.  I've spent the past two years making sure your concerns are heard in the Senate, first representing Section 12 and then representing all Day Division students.  I've served on the Finance and Facilities Committees, so I understand how complicated it can be to get money for an organization or find a clean bathroom.  I've continued to voice your concerns and look for solutions on everything from career prospects to LRW.

Committed.  As Executive Vice President I will continue to make sure that you have someone in the SBA who will listen to and act on your concerns.  My experience means I can continue to advocate for you within the SBA Executive and ensure that the Senate is productive and responsive to your concerns.

Bearded.  So you can always find me to voice your concerns or avoid reading with.

Be Deep. Vote for Singh.
